“I joined almost 2 years ago at Ladies Happy Hour. It was awesome!” she says. “There were a lot of encouraging ladies that held me accountable. Through Ladies Happy Hour, I started to feel comfortable to try out regular CrossFit. It really set me up for success. It just kinda felt like home. To date, I’ve lost about 40 lbs. I’ve went down 6 pant sizes. I was also pre diabetic when I started, now I am no longer pre diabetic.”

“When I went to get my blood work, after 6 months of working out here, my triglycerides went down 22 points,” she says. Such an astounding feat is only possible through hard work, and she showed how determined she was to pursue that! “Ijust want my blood work and my hormones to be healthy, and I don’t want to take medicine, so I workout. I sleep better, and I feel better. That’s why I keep coming, because I feel better.”

Jon

“I started doing CrossFit six years ago to get healthier and stronger for my one-year-old daughter,” John says. “I wanted to be able to do all the things a dad should do! “When I first started I was 225 lbs, now I’m 185 lbs. One of the biggest things it has helped me with is lower back pain and overall mobility. Everyone is there to get better and help each other with their fitness goals. I'm excited to keep growing with the gym and meeting all the new people who have been coming in.”

Emily

“We’re not afraid to share what’s going on, our aches and pains. We’re all rooting for each other. There’s a lot of people, we all care about each other, we all want what’s best, and we all suffer together during a workout. The biggest improvement I’ve noticed since doing the new program is in my power cleans,” she says. “My form has improved; I can lift heavier and do more reps.”

John

“Over the last year, I lost quite a bit of weight and put on a lot of muscle,” John says. “I’m doing a lot of things now that I couldn’t do. I have better strength and endurance. It’s really ramped my game up in terms of physical conditions and aerobic capacity. I worked out a lot on my own at home, but there’s nothing that can replace being around a group of other people. It’s like a friendly competitive environment.”
